Home Sweet Home!!

Some of you might have wondered where I had disappeared these past few days. Guess what?? I am back home- in the beautiful God’s own country of Kerala!!Well, it all happened quite suddenly. I was fed up of the cold and windy climate of Bradford and longed for the warm climate in Kerala. Moreover I was very homesick. So what else to do but to book tickets, pack our bags and to set off as soon as possible??On 14th March we caught the National Express from Bradford and reached Heathrow airport at 7 a.m. the next day. On 15th March we reached Kerala. The trip was quite tiresome but how wonderful it felt to see all the happy and familiar faces that received us!!

So I am fully relaxed now and enjoying the warm climate and adoring the occasional downpour here. A festival is going on in the temple near our house and the loudspeakers are on full blast! Well, I don’t mind; all that matters is that I am home- Home sweet home!!

Things did seem a bit quiet, but what a wonderful reason to be absent from your blog. Welcome home to you. Always a good feeling. :-) I look forward to hearing more once you're settled.

Moon goes super

Tonight was a big night what with the list of things happening to the moon. Blue moon, blood moon, super moon. Also it was the big night when people looked up from their smartphone to the skies just for a moment and took selfies with the 'superstar' of the night.

I was curious to know more about the event. So I opened the newspaper, which was an event in itself, and read about it. It seems the last time that these three events took place together was in 1866 March 31st.
And by the time it happens again, we will be in the netherworlds. The other facts I noted were these:

Blood moon- The moon takes on an orange tint due to earth's shadow during lunar eclipse.
Blue moon- The second full moon day in a month.
Super moon- The moon is closest to the earth.

At 6.30 we were gazing upwards with not a very clear idea of what was going to happen. But the moon did not appear. It seemed the moon was taking a long time to show its face. I thought lazily that there might be a hartal the …

Yes, I know, my mistake. I have to tell you that I was really impressed! So much creativity and thoughts! So much for thinking that my blog was pretty Okay!
And the best thing was that I could meet the creators of these wonderful blogs and make friends with them. I have already made a few friends now. I am still getting to know my way about, but I am sure this is going to be a good learning experience as well!
